Installative Klangperformance

Mit Erde, Pflanzen und Wasser gefüllte Terrarien im Zentrum des Raumes: Moore. Sie sind die Quelle von allem, was das Publikum während dieser Aufführung hört, sieht und erlebt. Kurt Holzkämper (Ludwigsburg) und Phillip Staffa (Berlin) extrahieren an verschiedenen Labororten in Echtzeit Daten und Geräusche aus diesen Moor-Reaktoren, erforschen, bearbeiten sie, verformen sie und bringen sie auf unterschiedlichen Erscheinungsebenen in den Raum. Darüber hinaus sind weitere Informationen zu den Daten aus dem Sumpfreaktor über projizierte Texttafeln und Hörstationen erlebbar. Das Publikum bewegt sich frei im Raum und entscheidet selbst, welchem Prozess es beiwohnt. Während der Ausstellungszeit werden die bewässerten Terrarien abgelassen und langsam geleert – ein Symbol für die jahrhundertelang praktizierte Moorentwässerung zur Gewinnung von Brennmaterial, Torf und Weiden mit all ihren dramatischen Folgen für unser Klima. Als verschwommene Konvergenzräume schweben Moore zwischen Erde, Wasser und Luft, ein lebendiger Durchgangsort. Wasser ist die treibende Kraft ihrer sich ständig verändernden Prozesse. Wir betreten dieses selbstregulierende Ordnungssystem des Moors.

Installative sound performance

Terrariums filled with earth, plants and water in the centre of the room: moors. They are the source of everything the audience hears, sees and experiences during this performance. Kurt Holzkämper (Ludwigsburg) and Phillip Staffa (Berlin) extract data and sounds from these moor reactors in real time at various laboratory locations, research them, process them, deform them and bring them into the room on different levels of appearance. In addition, further information on the data from the moor reactor can be experienced via projected text panels and listening stations. The audience moves freely in the room and decides for themselves which process they attend. During the exhibition, the irrigated terrariums are drained and slowly emptied - a symbol of the centuries-old practice of draining moors to obtain fuel, peat and willows with all its dramatic consequences for our climate. As blurred convergence spaces, moors float between earth, water and air, a lively place of passage. Water is the driving force behind its constantly changing processes. We enter this self-regulating system of the moor.
